| dc.description | East Asia, particularly China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, concentrates a significant volume of exports, imports and consumption of fish and fish products globally. These different and combined patterns of market players as big exporters, importers and consumers, led to a positive environment for the creation of mitigation measures and assessment of new opportunities to counteract the outcomes of the pandemic. In this context, FAO GLOBEFISH is organizing a webinar to explore some of the solutions, opportunities, and best practices identified by China, Japan and the Republic of Korea in mitigating the negative spillovers of the pandemic. The webinar will provide a unique discussion panel in assessing the changes and trends of fisheries and aquaculture value chains framed by these new measures and the pandemic itself. | |
