The aim of the paper is to assess the risk of poverty and social exclusion in rural communes of the
warmińsko-mazurskie province. The multidimensional comparative analysis was used. Using four features
the ranking of rural municipalities was created and synthetic indicator of risk of poverty and social exclusion
was calculated. The results showed that in over the half of rural communes in warmińsko-mazurskie province
the level of risk of poverty and social exclusion is high and very high.
