This guide helps facilitators use a short, animated video to trigger awareness and discussion about key challenges faced by small-scale fishing communities. The video uses animations to introduce ways to identify and address challenges, and introduces the Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Food Security and Poverty Eradication (SSF Guidelines) as a tool to develop solutions. Facilitators can use this video to start a discussion on challenges in small-scale fisheries and what can be done to address them. We suggest allocating 45 minutes to watching and discussing the video.
