| dc.description | The most important limiting factors for snap bean cultivation in Peru are lack of improved var. seed, nematodes, rust, BCMV, shoot and pod borers, and mining fly. To solve these problems, it is necessary to develop an efficient snap bean seed production system and promote commercialization systems that stimulate production and consumption. The establishment of an international exchange of snap bean material is recommended as well as the distribution of early generation material for adaptation trials. (CIAT) | |
| dc.description | Los principales factores limitantes del cultivo de habichuela en Peru son escasez de semilla de var. mejoradas, nematodos, roya, BCMV, barrenadores de brotes y vainas y mosca minadora. Para resolver estos problemas se hace necesario desarrollar un sistema eficiente de produccion de semilla de habichuela y promover sistemas de comercializacion que estimulen la produccion y el consumo. Se recomienda establecer un intercambio de materiales de habichuela a nivel internacional, y distribuir material en generaciones tempranas para ensayos de adaptacion. (CIAT) | |
