This document is the final report of the fifteenth session of the Fishery Committee for the Eastern Central Atlantic (CECAF), which was held in Abuja, Nigeria, from 1 to 3 November 2000. Major topics discussed were: action on recommendations of the fourteenth session; global emerging issues in fisheries development and management relevant to the region; recommendations of the CECAF Scientific Sub-Committee and its future work; possibilities r upgrading the committee to a commission level; and re gional implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries. The summary of the main decisions and ecommendations is shown in Appendix D.
