dc.descriptionEvaluations about deforestation, until 1976, will be presented in this article, representing the decade of the 70s. Being this, the first of a series of three evaluations, that will include the decades of the 80s and the 90s. In this context, the objective of this research is to map and quantify deforested areas in the Higher Paraguay river Basin (HPB), providing the resuls per State (MT and MS), Pantanal, plateau, sub-regions and counties.
