Descripción

This module focuses on the fourth step of the risk-based inspection planning and reporting process: data analysis and continuous improvement. It involves reviewing the risk-based inspection programme to ensure that it remains relevant, risk-focused, and efficient. The module describes the different types of assessments used to evaluate inspection programmes and outlines the procedures for analyzing available data. This analysis helps determine whether inspection activities were implemented as planned, assess their effectiveness, and identify any necessary adjustments. In addition, the module provides guidance and examples of reporting tools and approaches that can be used to present a comprehensive overview of programme performance. The module describes the process for evaluating the inspection programme based on its delivery and effectiveness as part of the review and continuous improvement of the national food control system. Through this process, inefficiencies identified from the previous year are highlighted, and the resulting decisions and changes are clearly defined. Effective communication of these outcomes is essential to build trust and foster ownership.
