The Meeting provided an opportunity to review the status of aquaculture in the Mediterranean. It took note of the problems encountered by the sector due to the rapid extension of some countries, particularly in the field of pathology, utilized technologies and marketing. The representatives of the different networks created by the ex MEDRAP Project have presented reports on their activities and the Committee recommended measures to strengthen these networks. A programme of work for the intersession was established by the Committee.
