| dc.description | Further outbreaks of H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) were suspected in Malaysia, near the border with Thailand. Additional HPAI cases in poultry were reported in Thailand and Viet Nam reported new infected areas. To understand the factors related to HPAI epidemics and to improve the quality of diagnostic and surveillance information, FAO is launching sub-regional surveillance and diagnosis networks with national and international partners. | |
