| dc.description | The 2023 International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Annual Report provides an overview of the IPPC Secretariat's key achievements for the year, as well as progress towards the achievement of the IPPC Strategic Framework. The report outlines achievements and progress in governance, standards setting, implementation, partnerships, and communication. Some of the 2023 milestones include the commemoration of the second International Day of Plant Health, celebrated on 12 May after its adoption at the UN General Assembly, the Federal Republic of Somali joining the IPPC as its 185th Contracting party, the launch of the Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP), the publication of four new IPPC guides to implementation of the convention and adoption of modifications in four International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs). The 2023 IPPC Annual Report also provides a summary financial report. | |
