En 2024, IICA fortaleció su cooperación técnica con Bolivia en coordinación con el MDRyT, impulsando líneas estratégicas para el desarrollo agroalimentario. Destaca la formulación de la primera fase del Programa de Desarrollo Sostenible de la Ganadería Boliviana y de la Estrategia Nacional de Agroecología, así como el fortalecimiento institucional del SENASAG y la articulación del Observatorio Agroambiental y Productivo con OIMA. Se promovió el manejo sostenible de bofedales mediante el programa “Bofedal es Vida” y se fortaleció la cadena de valor de los camélidos, junto con iniciativas regionales sobre bioseguridad frente a Fusarium y mitigación de residuos de plaguicidas. También se implementaron paquetes tecnológicos de energías renovables en comunidades rurales, beneficiando a más de 250 familias. IICA impulsó la vinculación de productos agropecuarios a mercados nacionales e internacionales, fortaleció la agricultura familiar, promovió la acción climática y la bioeconomía, y apoyó la construcción de cadenas agropecuarias sostenibles y resilientes mediante amplia articulación interinstitucional.
In 2024, IICA strengthened its technical cooperation with Bolivia in coordination with the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands, advancing strategic priorities for agrifood development. Key achievements included the formulation of the first phase of the Sustainable Livestock Development Program and the National Agroecology Strategy, as well as institutional strengthening of SENASAG and the integration of the Agro-Environmental and Productive Observatory with OIMA. Sustainable management of high-altitude wetlands was promoted through the “Bofedal es Vida” program, while the camelid value chain was strengthened alongside regional initiatives on Fusarium biosecurity and pesticide residue mitigation. Clean energy technology packages were also implemented in rural communities, benefiting more than 250 families. IICA supported market linkages for agricultural products, enhanced family farming visibility, advanced climate action and bioeconomy initiatives, and contributed to building sustainable and resilient agricultural value chains through broad interinstitutional collaboration.
