dc.descriptionFAO promotes the use and scale up of Cash+ as a flexible tool for promoting resilience and social protection. By providing cash transfers plus agricultural inputs, assets and/or training, FAO’s approach to Cash+ enables beneficiaries to address their immediate needs while supporting their livelihoods and productive capacity. The combined interventions can have powerful impact, including improving households’ agricultural production, income generation, asset ownership, economic empowerment, as w ell as dietary diversity and food security. This brief shares the key features of Cash+, examples from FAO’s experience and the way forward.
