dc.description	In the highlands of Bolivia, recurrent cold waves and related extreme events severely increase the risk of Llama camelids mortality. The introduction of shelters to protect camelids from frost, combined with the increased access to treatments following the establishment of veterinary pharmacies, significantly reduced the mortality rate of camelids. This practice describes in detail how shelters can be built to protect livestock in the highland.
