| dc.description | This success stories booklet showcases the importance of Farmer Field Schools (FFS) in changing the livelihooods of farmers (women, youth and men), and illustrates how it saved water and positively changed farmers’ attitudes towards modern irrigation methods, aligning with the Egyptian Government's plans to increase water use efficiency in agriculture. It also shows how FFS increased farmer solidarity, supported community resilience, and fostered cooperation, dialogue, and conflict management among farmers, leading to consensus decisions. They also empowered women through participation in dialogue and decision-making. | |
