Descripción

The purpose of this tutorial is to demonstrate the project submission process and functionality of the Global Capacity Development Portal (GCDP) from an internal perspective, for usage and contribution by both internal and external entities with an interest in collaborating and contributing in the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU fishing) by enhancing project visibility. The tutorial itself covers the entire workflow, from account registration to project deletion, detailing all the steps required to facilitate the typical project submission, while also providing tips and troubleshooting techniques to assist the user through any potential issues or difficulties they may face. Firstly, the reader is introduced to the initiation phase, detailing the steps that potential project contributors must first take to register for an account and declare their institutions, including the requirement for individual account assessments and verification by the GCDP team. Consequently, the tutorial transitions to the upload phase, whereby guidance on the login and project creation process is given, including a detailed overview of the required fields and supplementary project information, as applicable. The reader is then walked through the final steps of the upload process, including the final project verification stage, ensuring that the project adheres to the portal’s eligibility criteria. Finally, the tutorial concludes at the management phase, detailing instructions on the management of such projects, including the modification of project content and contact information, supplementation and management of project resources, and, project deletion. Administrative guidance on the management of user information is also provided.
