Descripción
The project substantially achieved its intended outcome of building institutional, technical and community capacity for sustainable coastal management. Government institutions, Community Resource Management Areas (CREMAs) and coastal communities now apply improved tools, skills and systems to manage coastal and blue-carbon ecosystems more sustainably. Through improved access to digital tools, targeted capacity building, and large-scale mangrove restoration, the project has contributed to enhanced climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable coastal communities.
