dc.descriptionThe Regional Intergovernmental Meeting to Initiate the Establishment of a Central Asian Fisheries Organization (Dushanbe, Tajikistan, 10–12 November 2008), was convened at the invitation of the Government of Tajikistan. The meeting brought together responsible authorities for capture fisheries and aquaculture from the wider Central Asian region to discuss major regional fisheries and aquaculture problems and issues and a proposal for the establishment of a regional fishery and aquaculture ar rangement (network or regional commission).
