This is a progress report on the implementation of Phase II of the EU FAO FLEGT Programme. Nearly all funds were committed to projects or other actions before the start of 2016, and therefore relatively few new actions took place in the reporting period of 1 January to 31 August 2016. The most significant actions in the reporting period were the continued backstopping and close-out of existing projects, and preparations for lesson-learning and the overall close-out of Phase II, which is schedule d on 31 October 2016. The narrative and financial final reports will be submitted before 28 February 2017, consistent with the contribution agreements and amendments with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the European Commission. <p>This report includes a summary of activities completed under Result 1 (VPA support), Result 2 (non-VPA support) and Result 3 (information and knowledge-sharing) of the Programme Logical Framework, as well as an outline of the learning thematic area and a description of Programme expenditures and remaining funds available. </p>
