En 2025, el IICA fortaleció el sector rural de Guatemala mediante proyectos de gran impacto. Lideró la gestión del Bono Campesino junto al MAGA, ejecutando eficientemente USD 30 000 000 en beneficio de más de 300 000 familias con insumos agropecuarios. Asimismo, ejecutó con éxito otros USD 30 millones del programa de investigación CRIA, financiado por el USDA, alcanzando el 98% de ejecución. A nivel tecnológico, implementó el proyecto TeleGAN para la ganadería sostenible mediante datos satelitales y promovió una agenda de agricultura digital territorial. Estas iniciativas consolidaron su presencia operativa en los 22 departamentos del país. El Instituto también recuperó el liderazgo en la Secretaría Ejecutiva de Promecafé , apoyó la prevención del gusano barrenador del ganado , asesoró al MAGA en bioinsumos y compras , y asistió al Gobierno en la formulación de normativas sobre biocombustibles líquidos.
In 2025, IICA strengthened Guatemala's rural sector through high-impact projects. It led the management of the Bono Campesino alongside MAGA, efficiently executing USD 30,000,000 in agricultural inputs to benefit over 300,000 families. It also successfully managed another USD 30 million for the CRIA research program, funded by the USDA, achieving a 98% execution rate. On a technological front, IICA implemented the TeleGAN project for sustainable livestock management using satellite data and promoted a territorial digital agriculture agenda. These initiatives solidified its operational presence across all 22 departments of the country. Additionally, the Institute regained leadership of the Promecafé Executive Secretariat , supported screwworm prevention , advised MAGA on bio-inputs and procurement , and assisted the Government in drafting regulations for liquid biofuels.
