Descripción

Burkina Faso’s largely rural and youthful population depends heavily on farming and herding, yet these livelihoods are increasingly threatened by conflict, environmental degradation, and a changing climate. As the country grapples with widespread food insecurity and displacement, communication emerges as a key enabler of resilience and recovery—this factsheet explores how Burkina Faso’s media and telecommunications landscape can support inclusive, locally grounded strategies under FAO’s emergency and resilience programmes.
