A presentation of the situation of the most important wood products in Gambia followed by a description of the current statistics on the subject. The report also describes the methods used as well as the type of information collected. The various institutions involved in the collection, analysis and dissemination process as well as the country's most important and most active wood industries are also mentioned. An overall evaluation of the state of these institutions is made with recommendatio ns on how the collection process could be improved. Moreover, it pictures different scenarios to integrate these measures into the existing system.
