The Regional Workshop on the Promotion of the GSA in Asia, organized by FAO, will include a one-day in-person event on 10 November 2025 in Hyderabad, India. Held ahead of World Aquaculture 2025, the workshop aims to engage governments, regional bodies, and international organizations in promoting sustainable aquaculture in Asia. With the region producing the majority of farmed aquatic foods and employing 95% of the global aquaculture workforce, advancing sustainable practices is essential to meet growing demand, address environmental and governance challenges, and contribute to food security and the Sustainable Development Goals.
