The Digital Services Portfolio (DSP) presents a suite of user-friendly, locally adaptable digital tools developed by FAO to support farmers and rural communities in managing agricultural production more efficiently and sustainably. The brochure provides an overview of key features such as weather forecasts, crop calendars, livestock guidance, pest control tools, market price information, and nutritional advice—all designed to enhance decision-making and resilience at the farm level.Built through strong partnerships with national stakeholders, the DSP enables the creation of country-specific applications that respond to local agricultural priorities, environmental conditions, and user needs. By delivering real-time, actionable data directly to farmers’ mobile devices, the portfolio helps improve yields, reduce losses, and increase income—ultimately contributing to more resilient rural economies. The brochure also illustrates how the DSP contributes to FAO’s Strategic Objectives and accelerates progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including poverty reduction, zero hunger, climate action, and digital inclusion. With a focus on participatory design, inclusivity, and scalability, the DSP bridges the gap between technology and agriculture, fostering innovation across the agrifood value chain.Partners, donors, institutions, and practitioners are informed about the DSP’s potential to transform digital agriculture and promote sustainable rural development through accessible, localized solutions.
