The objective of this good practice fact sheet is to provide guidance on using remote sensing technology in a developing country environment, in particular to verify infrastructure rehabilitation. The document explores how the technology can be used to monitor improvements made as part of a Cash for Work programme, providing accountability to donors. It also highlights the benefits to local communities, through increased employment opportunities and restoration of critical productive assets tha t can help them to enhance their livelihoods.
