Cropland is fundamental to food security. Cropland information is required to monitor food security indicators and provide information on access to water, cropping intensities and more. Cropland for eastern Bhutan was prepared by training a machine learning model and classifying satellite imageries (Planet, Sentinel–1) in GEE. Cropland data were prepared in context of GEF–8 projects. The main aim of the GEF–8 project is to transform rice fields to improve the region's food security.
