The project strengthened food security, nutrition and livelihoods in Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Solomon Islands by promoting innovative vegetable production systems. Functional protected cultivation systems demonstrated higher yields, improved crop quality and increased market value, while farmers and government staff gained practical skills in protected cultivation, hydroponics, irrigation, pest management and climate-resilient horticulture, fostering local ownership and sustainability.
