dc.descriptionThis paper explores production surfaces for a spatially differentiated renewable resource. By analyzing steady state harvests for a fixed amount of total harvesting effort, the conceptual model evaluates management using protected areas and assesses the importance of assumptions about spatial behavior. A simulation of marine reserves with Beverton-Holt recruitment is presented.
