| dc.description | The Arab Forum for Rural Advisory Services (AFRAS) strengthens inclusive, climate-smart advisory services across the Arab region. In Palestine, farming persists under severe human-induced constraints, movement restrictions and land confiscation compounded by water scarcity, which also weakens extension delivery. Field crops cover about 217 000 dunums, mostly in the West Bank, with Jenin and Hebron leading. Policy frameworks led by Law by Decree No. 14 of 2018 and rural development strategies aim to tighten resource governance, expand finance and cooperatives, and strengthen services. With movement limits, digital delivery has grown via WhatsApp and Facebook, and an electronic extension program is being developed by the Ministry of Agriculture. | |
