The First Meeting of the Antimicrobial Resistance Technical Advisory Group (AMR TAG) of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) was organized on July 5-7, 2021 by the SAARC Secretariat with technical and operational support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (FAO RAP). The virtual meeting brought together the nominated AMR TAG members from the SAARC Member States for a regional discussion on ongoing initiatives in AMR surveillance, as reinforced by strong technical support from AMR international experts around the world.
