El Programa de Comercio Internacional e Integración Regional ha logrado importantes avances en la consolidación del aporte de la región a la seguridad alimentaria y al desarrollo sostenible. Entre los principales logros alcanzados hasta el año 2023, se destacan la participación de 5878 personas, la generación de intenciones de negocios por más de USD 51 millones y la participación de 1375 empresas en las acciones del programa. Además, se han coordinado acciones para enfrentar el surgimiento de regulaciones que puedan restringir el comercio, se ha fortalecido el comercio agroalimentario de la región y se han consolidado alianzas continentales en temas de comercio. También se han realizado acciones de intercambio de información y fortalecimiento de capacidades, con la participación de socios estratégicos como la FAO, el BID y la OMC.
The International Trade and Regional Integration Program has achieved significant progress in consolidating the region's contribution to food security and sustainable development. Among the main achievements reached by 2023, it is worth highlighting the participation of 5,878 people, the generation of business intentions for more than USD 51 million, and the participation of 1,375 companies in the program's actions. In addition, actions have been coordinated to address the emergence of regulations that may restrict trade, the agri-food trade in the region has been strengthened, and continental alliances have been consolidated on trade issues. Information exchange and capacity-building actions have also been carried out, with the participation of strategic partners such as FAO, IDB, and WTO.
