The thrust towards United Nations reform and system-wide coherence in recent years has brought about greater sensitivity to the conduct of the staff of the United Nations system. The Standards of Conduct for the International Civil Service are made available in a booklet format, in order to facilitate a wide circulation and accessibility. They are published together with other relevant administrative issuances, aimed at reminding staff members of their fundamental obligations to conduct themselv es at all times in a manner befitting their status as international civil servants.
