dc.descriptionGiven the increase use of fertilizers due to population growth, a FAO consultation on possible side effects of intensive fertilizer use on the human environment was convened in Rome from 25 to 28 January 1972. The present publication records the findings of the consultation and indicates that the effects of intensive fertilizer use on the environment are mainly positive.
