Descripción
This is a project flyer for the project "Building global capacity to increase transparency in the forest sector (CBIT-Forest)”. CBIT-Forest is a two-year-long FAO project under the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) trust fund of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). This global project will strengthen the capacities of developing countries to collect, analyse and disseminate forest-related data to meet the transparency requirements of the Paris Agreement.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the institutional and technical capacities of developing countries to meet the requirements of the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of Article 13 of the Paris Agreement, and to contribute towards country efforts to track progress in mitigating and adapting to climate change, as laid out in their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
