| dc.description | As a response to this crisis, the Government of Lao PDR has issued the first National Nutrition Policy (NNP) in December 2008. Based on the NNP, a 10-year National Nutrition Strategy (NNS) has been formulated. This document forms the strategic guideline for all stakeholders in the field of nutrition and food security in Lao PDR. As such, it forms the basis for the National Plan of Action on Nutrition (NPAN) as well as for the nutrition and food security component of the MDG Costing and the 7th 5 -year National Socio-Economic Development Plan (NSEDP). | |
