The four main objectives of the workshop were stated: Presentation of qualitative and quantitative case study results, Identification of key methodological issues; problems and lessons learned, Synthesis of findings on key project questions across case studies, Finalization of plans for books (chapter outlines and authors) . The group of the main project objectives: a) Provide Insights on implementing ITPGRFA , b) Provide Insights on governing markets to improving access to PGRFA, c) Improve the state of knowledge on interactions between agricultural markets, crop genetic diversity and welfare. The project is designed to meet these objectives by conducting country case studies to answer the following project research questions: How do we measure farmer access to crop genetic resources, especially in relation to crop genetic diversity, in local markets?, How does access to CGR (Crop Genetic Resources) in markets affect farmer welfare and on‐farm crop biodiversity?, How do policies su ch as emergency seed relief, seed sector regulation, and market integration, affect farmer access to CGR in local markets?
