| dc.description | This newsletter gives an overview of the project progress covering January to June in 2018, which has made good achievements. A series of policies and regulations are being developed including the river chief and lake chief system, Dongting lake national park plan etc. The biodiversity data of Dongting lake has been updated, and the construction of integrated information system has started. The capacity of staff of NRs has been strengthened through various training activities, and management plan of NRs has been developed. Biodiversity conservation has been integrated into different key sectors. The ceremony of "2018 Hunan bird flying" was launched in March with over 300 participants to raise the public awareness on bird protection. And the General Secretary Xi Jinping visited one monitoring site in April and gave praise to the conservation work. | |
