| dc.description | In addition to offering an extensive exhibition area where fisheries stakeholders can meet and discuss international market trends, CONXEMAR will host the eighth edition of the FAO-CONXEMAR Congress, taking place on 30 September 2019. This year, the congress will focus on social sustainability, which has become a major concern in the fisheries sector due to incidents of labour right violations and human rights abuses found at different stages of the fisheries value chain.
