Spraying insecticide is the most common method for locust control. The two most common pesticide spraying methods are water-based and oil-based. While water-based pesticides are more common in conventional crop protection, oil-based spraying allows the use of the ultra-low volume (ULV) spraying technique, dramatically reducing the amount of pesticide required to control locusts.
This informative brochure highlights the properties of ULV pesticide spraying compared to conventional EC spraying, informing the audience of the potential economic, environmental and effectiveness of such technology.
