FAO Jordan office intends to publish newsletters every couple of months to reinforce other means of communications and to provide all updates and 'what's new' in Jordan office, which will contribute to the visibility of the Organization and will also reach a broader audience in different regions. Each edition covers the office's project activities, workshops, partnerships and other events to be shared with donors, stakeholders, NGOs, INGOs and partners from the government and private sector. In this edition, readers will be updated on one FAO project in Jordan; the announcement of the agreement to implement two new projects supporting the marketing of agricultural products through fairs in the governorates, and the promotion of water efficiency through aquaponics and hydroponics techniques. The readers will also be updated on one of FAO Jordan current project sites and will discover the first picture of the dam built in northern Jordan Valley and filled with rainwater, which will increase irrigation and agricultural potential and limit the risk of flash floods in the area, in addition to a brief of two workshops: 1- Analyzing the tradeoffs and potential synergies in developing policies and infrastructure to increase the overall water-energy-food security for Jordan. 2- Improving the productivity and efficiency of the olive oil industry.
