Building national capacities is one of the most important objectives/programs/projects and activities implemented by the commission, given its effective role in refining scientific abilities and enhancing the practical skills of those working in the field of desert locust control. This strengthens the capacity of national desert locust control units to fulfill their role in implementing a preventive control strategy against desert locusts. The commission plays an active role in developing the tools and mechanisms used in training desert locust officers, technicians, and personnel. It works on diversifying training topics to cover all aspects related to surveying, control operations, and information management. The training courses are conducted by a distinguished group of certified trainers who, with the support of the commission, continuously enhance their expertise and stay up to date with the latest techniques.
