Foodborne antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is an increasing threat to food safety, food security and sustainable agrifood systems. It can also affect market access, disrupt trade and increase costs for food producers and businesses. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) addresses foodborne AMR across agrifood systems, providing a comprehensive and holistic perspective.
