Resumen
Descripción
Mozambique faces a complex set of development challenges including persistent poverty, food and nutrition insecurity, climate vulnerability, gender inequality, and limited employment opportunities—particularly in the agriculture sector. Despite the country's rich natural resources and large young population, structural constraints such as low productivity, weak infrastructure, and limited institutional capacity hinder inclusive economic growth and food system transformation. The CPF 2022–2026 is FAO's strategic response to these challenges. It aligns with Mozambique’s Five-Year Government Plan (PQG), the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), and FAO’s global “Four Betters” approach: Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, and a Better Life. The CPF aims to contribute to a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable transformation of Mozambique’s agri-food systems while promoting gender equality, youth inclusion, and climate resilience.
