dc.descriptionThe Pre-Investment Survey of Fishing Harbours is being conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in cooperation with the Government of India. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, on this Project, is acting as the Executing and Participating Agency for the United Nations Development Programme.</p> Extensive marine fishing is done in the estuaries and off the shorelines of the coastal districts of Mysore State. About 45 000 tonnes of fish and pravms are landed through traditional fishing methods.
