The paper presents the changes in the households of the Lublin province, in the context of environmental
protection and sustainable development. Based on empirical surveys from budgets households CSO, conducted
in 2005-2012, presents changes the proportion of households using water supply, sewerages and wastewater
treatment plants. Describes trends decreasing in the consumption of water and electricity in the surveyed
households, despite the opposite trend in Europe. It also indicated that more and more households of Lublin
province were equipped with permanent connection of natural gas, which changes the structure of home
heating and allows departure from carbon stoves.
