FAOSTAT provides free access to food and agriculture statistics for 245 countries and territories and covers all the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation’s (FAO) regional groupings from 1961 to the most recent year available. Implemented in 1996, FAOSTAT is one of the largest databases on food and agriculture statistics worldwide, receiving approximately 2.4 million visits per year and disseminating more than 1 million statistics organized under 66 different themes.The 2024 FAOSTAT user consultation was implemented to update and expand the user profiles, assess whether user satisfaction with FAOSTAT quality had improved or deteriorated since the 2018 user consultation, and get in-depth feedback on specific FAOSTAT features and functionalities (e.g. metadata, data visualizations, download options and additional pages of the FAOSTAT website).
