The paper presents changes in the financial support of agriculture and the correlation between transfers
at three groups of countries with different levels of economic development. Support evaluation was based
on the assessment methods used by the OECD using the division transfers economic surplus into three
streams. The starting point became a discussion on the problem of the role of the state in the economy and
the possibility of impact on the agricultural sector. The study sought universal adjustment mechanisms in
the distinguished groups of countries.
