dc.descriptionABSTRACT. A new short cycle rice cultivar8755, nominated(Eduar LP-21) was obtained throughbiotechnologic methods (culture in vitro of anthers)in TheBasic Scientific Technological Unit from Los Palacios(UCTB), belonging to the National Institute of AgriculturalSciences (INCA). It presents excellent features in terms ofgrain yield, milling quality and pests resistance, as wellas a good behavior to low water and fertilizer suppliesconditions. With this new cultivar, UCTB expected to favorproducers of rice in the farmer cooperative sector.
