This FAO Contribution to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) factsheet highlights FAO’s role in advancing scientific knowledge that informs IPCC reports on climate change, agriculture, and food security. By providing essential data, expert insights, and tools—such as updated climate zone maps, soil classification systems, and the IPCC Add-on Tool—FAO supports countries in tracking greenhouse gas emissions and meeting climate commitments.
