Descripción
The Foodsavers platform collects and saves food that would otherwise have been thrown away by wholesale market sellers and local retailers. This food is then donated to social organizations in Ghent. By involving a network of food banks, social restaurants and social supermarkets, this platform aims at better matching supply and demand for surplus food so that together they can reduce food waste and improve the diets of people in need.
