This paper fouces on three separate but related subjects: a short description of IICA, a review of agricultural research in IICA and the relations of IICA research to U.S. institutions. The hope is to work more closely with U.S. institutions, particularly U.S. universities on new agricultural activities to be financed in the region by the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and bilateral donors.
